Description

I believe this is an as new Royal Irish Constabulary No. 1 in 455 caliber. Although it shows no markings, other than, three English proof marks on the upper left barrel flat and one on the lower right frame and the serial number on the left front frame. It retains 99% original nickel finish. The mechanical function is as new, crisp and tight. The bore is bright and shinny “unfired”, with strong rifling and no blemish in the lands and grooves. The grip has only a few light mars no chips or cracks. All in all this is one of the best condition Webley No. 1 RIC revolvers that I have seen. English made solid frame double action revolver, manufactured by P. Webley & Son, I believe made for the American trade in the 1880s. Features it's original bright nickel finish, 4.5" bbl, round blade front sight, 'v' notched rear sight, fluted six-shot cylinder, pivoting loading gate, swing-out ejector rod, rounded trigger, knurled hammer spur, lanyard ring and one-piece checkered walnut wrap-around grip. Serial numbers on the frame & cylinder are matching. Condition is NRA Excellent. ***Antique Firearm***
