Here’s a nice .32 S&W caliber centerfire 5 Shot produced by Meridian Firearms Co., in Connecticut—a subsidiary of Sears, Roebuck & Co. Manufactured sometime between 1895 and 1915. It has been cleaned up and Nickeled, and still holds tight with the double-action working strong, and the trigger pull heavy.
Sold under the Howard Arms Co. name out of Chicago, the Meridian/Howard Revolvers were usually produced in .32 or .38 S&W, and could be found at retailers like Fred Biffar & Co. and Sears & Roebuck.
Built small and easy to stash, this piece would've been a trusty sidearm for a riverboat gambler or a bold dame takin’ a walk through town after dusk. Quiet, tidy, but ready to sing when needed.
