Made from rugged full-grain leather, the holster is molded for a secure fit around Merwin Hulbert, S&W Frontier, and Schofield revolvers with 7.5"–8" barrels. The shaped leather keeps a long-barrel revolver seated properly while allowing a smooth, natural draw when it is needed. It fits cartridge belts up to 2.5" wide, giving you a solid ride without unnecessary bulk.
We chose this particular shape because it stays close to the gun leather carried across the Old West. Long-barrel revolvers found their way into the hands of cowboys, lawmen, and outlaws, and a holster like this had to keep the gun secure while still allowing a clean draw from the saddle or on foot.
