Also referred to as Hooded Stirrups, the Tapadero was traditionally used to keep the riders boots from slipping through the stirrups, they also protected against brush and Cacti while riding the trail.
Made with Thick heavy duty Leather, they are decorated with star conchos and braided leather straps. The nose is laced leather, the bottoms are doubled layered leather for added durability. The stirrups are wood, held in place with a heavy duty bolt. The foot rest is covered with leather.
