A genuine 10 Ga.  Shotgun Marked” J. MANTON LONDON FINE TWIST” On the barrel rib. Coach Gun / Sawed off shotgun. Used by stagecoach companies, express companies, bank guards, jail and prison guards for the formidable and terrorizing effects that they could bring to bear. I also heard one like this was used to rob a hardware man. What a colorful and dramatic weapon. Notice the sheep wool butt pad to soak up recoil.  Features 18”, barrels and an overall length of 35”.  Lock up is secure. The wood generally shows moderate wear.   The metal has a nice patina that accents the Damascus pattern on the barrels. The bores show very light pitting, less than most blackpowder shotguns of this era, but both actions work perfectly. This is fun to shoot, we recommend that you use ammo from a re-loader that loads to 19th century specifications. There are no dents in the bores. Just tell em you’re coming and H#%&@(&LL is going with you!!!!.
