Gangsters, such as the BLACK HAND in Chicago and the COWBOYS in Tombstone. This is a Side-by-side double barreled shotgun with steel barrels, and overall length of 20 inches. Both exposed hammers function perfectly. This gun from 1883 to 1894. Condition, is very good. Barrels are cut to 11 inches. It has a tight lockup. All metal parts have a nice even brown patina.
They were liked for their ability to easily hide under a coat. Yes, it is legal to own! It has been deactivated as a cartridge shotgun. It is now a MUZZLE LOADING CONVERSION. That means it has no legal length restrictions. Perfect for a re-enactor, for blank loads or just fun shooting. Uses the 209 shotgun primer. This is a BLACKPOWDER ONLY gun. DO NOT USE SMOKELESS POWDER. Or just use the primer as a blank for performance. This would be ideal as a vintage display with collectable vehicles of the era.
The action lock up is as tigh. The stock has no cracks, breaks or chips, and the stock is strong and stable. Weighs just about 6 lbs.
