Antique Colt Model 1895 New  Navy was sold to the civilian market. This nickel plated Colt was one of those. Double Action .38 Colt Revolver. The top of the barrel of the revolver is clearly marked in two lines: COLT’s PT F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. / PATENTED AUG. 5, 1884 NOV. 6, 88. MAR. 5, 95.. The left side of the barrel is marked with the caliber of the revolver, COLT. D.A. 38. which indicate .38 long Colt. The cylinder release and cylinder crane are marked "394”. The inside of the frame where it meets the crane is marked " 394 N”. Both grips bear the  number "394” on their interiors as well. The bottom of the barrel is marked “o”. This antique is in good working order:  6" Barrel; The nickel finish is 70%. The original grips are in very good condition.
