Remington New Model Police Conversion Revolver
The top barrel flat is marked "PATENTED SEPT. 14, 1858 MARCH 17 1863/E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, NEW YORK U.S.A./NEW MODEL".The number "2057" is marked on the left side of the frame under the grip and both grip panels with the number "6858" on the barrel and the number "1945" on the cylinder and cylinder conversion plate. Fitted with varnished grips.
Condition Very good plus.
The revolver retains 90% original nickel finish with a smooth gray
patina on the balance and loss on the butt. The grips are fine with
numerous pressure dents on the bottoms, some high edge wear and some
minor handling marks overall. Mechanically fine.
