z Sold "Yankee In the Kings Court" .45 Long Colt New Service revolver

Colt New Service .45 Long Colt Serial #79341 Manufacture in 1915 the 18th year of production. This 5 1/2 inch, barreled Colt is a standout in any collection. The bore is bright and strong. The  barrel has the Colt address markings of "COLT'S MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." The left side of the barrel is marked "NEW SERVICE .45 COLT". On the front end of the trigger guard bow is the " Colt "VP" proof-mark and above that is a British proof mark, one of many such British marks here and there on this COLT NEW SERVICE. A lanyard loop is on the bottom of the grip frame.

All matching serial numbers and mechanically perfect. This early New Service shows 85% original blue. The hard rubber grips are good other than a chip from the bottom of the right grip. The stag grips are included at no extra charge.  The markings are as new, the action is perfect, the bore is bright and shinny.
