Description

The most exciting of all the early 19th Century Pocket pistols were in caliber .41. The vast majority of production was in the .22's, .32's, and some .38's, the smallest quantity being the .41's. (DIXIE GUN WORKS does have reloadable brass that can be primed with .22 blanks). Of the 19th century Pocket Pistols, none had a more colorful name than the SWAMP ANGEL from Forehand & Wadsworth. This example, is Serial No. 911 which predicts the future.  I would not trifle with a Gentleman who would choose a pistol who’s numbers says call on me in an emergency.!!  It has about 95% original nickel plate, no rust and a smooth finish. It has cream white ivory grips. The mechanical features operate properly for loading, cocking, and firing.?? ALL factory applied marking are clear and strong, including the scarce side barrel manufacturers address, and the Model Designation of Swamp Angel on top of the frame. A powerful Pocket Pistol.??
