Description

This revolver made for the American market in the 1880s. An interesting ANTIQUE REVOLVER in 44-40 WCF with a 5 1/2 in. barrel. It is stamped "Frontier Army" on the top strap and the top of the barrel is marked for "44 WINCHESTER CARTRIDGE". It locks up tight, cycles, and all parts function.

The rear cylinder face shows the crown over "ELG" in an oval proof mark. The butt plate has a lanyard ring. Cylinder is 90% blue with balance of the gun smooth gray.

These revolvers were carried in the Old West.
