ENGRAVED Antique marked “DEFENDER”, .32 long rimfire caliber, 5 shot single action revolver, spur trigger, solid frame with 2 1/2” round barrel, fluted cylinder, smooth bright 100% nickel through out.
A neat revolver with no serial numbers. Action work correctly. The bore shows strong bright rifling and would probably shoot just fine with rim fire .32 bullrts. The tab on the frame pushes back to release the cylinder pin. Grips are very nice MOTHER OF PEARLwith no cracks.
This is the type of gun that a proper lady would carry in her muff to discourage mashers and muggers in the 1870s and 80s. If she was a not so proper lady it might serve to restrain rowdy a caller Or would serve equally as well as a vest pocket gun for her fancy man.
