Marked "Marshal I.T. United States" there will be no mistake. Double dye struck in heavy duty 14 gauge copper and plated in silver with an antiqued finish.
This style badge was a common sight on Deputy US Marshals in Indian Territory. It was one like this that was worn by Deputy US Marshal James F (Bud) Ledbetter, known for capturing the Al Jennings Gang.
