It works really well in the snow if you get them a size bigger and wear heavy wool socks. Also great on ice--non-skid sole is outstanding. We've had an above average snowfall this year so far, and the boots really perform well. Since I have a high instep, I had to separate the tongue from the body of the boot down to where the eyelets are closer together, but that didn't affect their performance one bit.
