z Sold ~ 1858 Remington .44, Imported by Hawes In the 1970's

Made in Italy 1858 Remington 44 cal. for import by Hawes in the early 70`s. The Cylinder shows a drag mark, but the actions works perfectly is crisp with a good strong lock up. The bore is bright with one small pit. Trigger guard has a nice aged patina. Left side of the barrel is marked "Hawes Firearms Co. Los Angeles Calif.". Serial #4160. There are a few dings on the metal but all in all the gun displays very well, with all most 100% Dark rich blue. Ready for service.
