Skirt - Riding Skirt or Divided Skirt - Scully

Equestrian women wore a divided skirt permitting them to ride astride while preserving the look of a skirt. By the end of the century, women were wearing them to peddle the new bicycle contraption and to keep up with their proper lady-like decorum. Sharp-shooter Annie Oakley wore a split skirt while performing in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Shows.

Decorated with 22 large pewter buttons down the sides of the front panels. A very attractive, wearable and utilitarian garment available in light weight 100% soft cotton twill. Sizes correlate to waist measurements. Approximate split skirt length is 36".
