A 1855 US pistol carbine, (dragoon). . . This is the US Springfield Pistol carbine, also referred to as the 1855 dragoon pistol. This is a reproduction made by ANTONIO ZOLI & CO. The original was made in both Springfield and Harpers Ferry arsenals. Was carried by mounted US units from the 1850's right into the American Civil War. Although this pistol was never produced in huge numbers, due to the popularity of the revolver, many US and Confederate cavalry still used them throughout the conflict. Recommended 30 grains of black powder, .570 round ball with patch.   Bore is shiny bright clean, as unfired. Full blue barrel and color case hardened lock, and the ram-rod ball with a pin through it attached to the front swivel. This set is made by Antonio Zoli.
