Description

H.H. Heiser Denver, Colorado No. 2710 Mexican hand carved Leather Loop Holster for a Colt Single Action Army Revolver
Trademarked in 1878 in Denver, Colorado, H.H. Heiser Saddlery produced a wide range of leather goods, with this model of holster first appearing in catalog No. 20 as the No. 2710 "Mexican hand carved, solid nickel silver spotted" holster with what is know as the “Quick Draw” belt loop. One for a 7 1/2 inch barreled Colt 1873 is pictured and discussed on p. 191 of "Packing Iron: Gunleather of the Frontier West" by Rattenbury. The holster we offer here is configured for a right handed shooter and will accommodate a 4 3/4 or 5 1/2 inch barreled Colt Single Action Army Revolver. The Heiser maker's mark is present on the skirt of the holster. The pouch of this holster has extremely well executed hand floral tooling. ConditionVery fine, showing an attractively aged, dark oiled tone overall, with no noticeable wear, or cracks, and all the stitching is tight as new. I Know that the spots on this holster looks like brass, but that is because the nickel spots have a high silver content and it tarnishes giving a yellowish cast. This is an exceptionally attractive and highly desirable vintage western holster that would pair perfectly with one of your Colt Single Action Army revolvers!

Delivery of item will be in 3 - 6 business days to Continental USA.
