Longmire-Inspired Custom Western Hat – Modified Brim Style
Drawing inspiration from the hat use by Robert Taylor in the TV series Longmire, this contemporary Western hat mixes Old West Cowboy style with a clean, practical look that has become a favorite among fans of the show. Featuring a 6-inch crown shaped to approximately 4¾ inches tall and a 4¼-inch modified brim, this design captures the look that helped define Sheriff Walt Longmire's unmistakable presence throughout the series.
This particular style came about with the vision and help of our longtime customer, Glenn Baxley. After noticing a hat in the series that matched what he had been searching for, Glenn contacted Paul with several pictures and descriptions. Following a lot of emails, Glenn and Paul spoke on the phone, discussing details, proportions, and hammering out the details he wanted to see. Working together, they developed a custom hat style that honored the TV show while bringing Glenn's vision to life.
In the end they designed a versatile Western hat that feels equally at home on the ranch, a friendly gathering, or as part of your everyday wear. The perfect blend of crown height and modified brim make for a timeless look that appeals to those who appreciate quality hat making and classic Western design.
